      What about the back legs?

      Yes, it works on back nails too. Pop your dog’s front paws up on the sofa, hold a treat in front, and their back paws file on the board as they stretch.

      Back nails also need it less often, because they wear down naturally on walks. So you’ll mostly focus on the front paws and do the back ones every now and then.

      Can it damage the pads

      The main contact occurs at the tip of the nail, not on the pad, and there are no forced movements: your dog scratches at their own pace, for a few minutes, voluntarily.

      When used correctly and under supervision, it does not affect the pads. In fact, it is much gentler than holding the leg and cutting by force.

      Is it safer than cutting?

      Yes. Since there is no direct cut, you avoid the risk of cutting too much or hitting the quick. It’s a more gradual and less stressful alternative, especially for nervous dogs.

      Does it fit all sizes?
